Heidi Olson earned a Master's degree in Teaching and certified to teach at both the secondary and elementary levels.
She has taught in the public schools, at the Institute for Extended Learning, and at EWU.
Heidi is the mother of 8 children, who attended Spokane Public Schools for 21 years (1982 - 2003).
Main concerns: programs to address the high drop-out rate; establishing assessments based on collective standards
while still encouraging individual creativity; more representation from women, particularly mothers, on the school board.
